Who We Are

We live where we work—and make it a better place

At Enviva, our people are our greatest asset—in our offices, plants, ports, and communities. We are driven by our shared vision for a renewable energy future.

We hire locally, and we live where we work. We put people first—including our team and our neighbors. Safety is our top priority—that starts with our plant, our team, and the community. We use state-of-the-art technology to not just meet but exceed stringent regulatory standards.

Economic benefits

The Bond plant will have a positive impact on the local and state economy. It is already fully-contracted under long-term take-or-pay off-take contracts with customers around the world. In addition to creating around 100 local jobs, the plant will create more than 250 indirect jobs in the region, including construction jobs. Once operational, the plant is expected to support about 350 jobs, including in adjacent industries such as logging and trucking. On top of that, there will be economic benefits to the tax dollars collected and local spending from Enviva and its employees. We’re here for the long term. Ours is a growth business in every sense of the word. Fueling the world will fuel our local community for generations to come.

Production

The plant is expected to have nameplate production capacity of more than 1 million metric tons of wood pellets per year. Our new plant represents an integral part of Enviva’s growth strategy, which includes doubling company-wide production capacity over the next five years, from 6.2 million metric tons per year (“MTPY”) to approximately 13 million MTPY, driven by increasing global demand from customers who aim to reduce their reliance on fossil fuels.
